Terms & Conditions – CMR Car Storage

1. Storage Fees and Billing
1.1 Storage fees are payable monthly in advance and must be received in cleared funds before the start of each storage period.
1.2 Late or non-payment may result in suspension of access to your vehicle until all outstanding sums are paid in full, including any applicable interest and charges.
1.3 Interest may be charged on overdue sums at a rate of 4% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, accruing daily until payment is made in full.

2. Minimum Storage Term
2.1 The minimum storage term is three (3) calendar months, unless otherwise agreed in writing by CMR Car Storage.
2.2 Early termination within the minimum term is not permitted, and no refunds will be given for unused storage periods.

3. Insurance & Liability
3.1 CMR Car Storage maintains insurance for stored vehicles up to a maximum value of £50,000 per vehicle.
3.2 Vehicles with a market value exceeding £50,000 are not guaranteed to be insured for their full value and must be covered by the owner’s own fully comprehensive insurance policy at all times while stored at CMR Car Storage.
3.3 The Customer remains fully responsible for ensuring adequate insurance cover for their vehicle, including for theft, damage, fire, flood, or any other loss.
3.4 CMR Car Storage shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, nor for any loss or damage arising from causes beyond our reasonable control.

4. Vehicle Access
4.1 Access to stored vehicles is available Monday to Saturday during our normal business hours with a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours’ prior written notice.
4.2 Access outside these hours, or without the required notice, is strictly at our discretion and may incur a call-out charge, payable before access is granted.
4.3 For safety and security reasons, access to the storage area may only be granted when accompanied by a member of CMR Car Storage staff.

5. Termination Notice
5.1 The Customer must provide a minimum of thirty (30) days’ prior written notice to terminate storage.
5.2 Storage fees remain payable in full for the notice period, whether or not the vehicle is collected earlier.

6. Overdue Accounts and Lien Rights
6.1 If any storage fees or other sums remain unpaid for more than three (3) months, CMR Car Storage reserves the right to:
 a) Deny access to the vehicle; and/or
 b) Exercise a lien over the vehicle, retaining possession until all outstanding sums (including interest, charges, and costs) are paid in full.
6.2 If sums remain unpaid for more than six (6) months, CMR Car Storage reserves the right to sell the vehicle to recover the outstanding debt, in accordance with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977. Any surplus after debt recovery will be remitted to the Customer.

7. General
7.1 These Terms & Conditions form the entire agreement between CMR Car Storage and the Customer.
7.2 Any amendments must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
7.3 These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
